Nanay Cita

From the Kitchen Window to Your Table

It started the way most great Filipino food stories do — with a neighbor asking, "Nanay, pwede ba akong bumili ng ulam mo?" In 2019, Nanay Cita Reyes was cooking lunch for her family when her neighbor knocked on the window and asked if she could buy a plate.

By the end of that week, six more neighbors were lining up. By the end of that month, she had a makeshift counter. By the end of that year, Bella Roma Ristorante was born — a proper Filipino restaurant built on the same recipes, the same values, and the same love she always cooked with.

"Hindi ko inisip na maging negosyo ito. Gusto ko lang talaga kumain ng masarap, at ayaw ko ng makain ng gutom ang mga kapitbahay ko."

— Nanay Cita Reyes, Founder

Today, Bella Roma Ristorante serves over 80 families weekly from their warm dining space in Pasig City — but the recipes haven't changed, the ingredients haven't been shortcut, and Nanay Cita still cooks every morning at 5 AM.
